Consumer Rights in Hindi
India has strong consumer protection laws and discussing them requires formal Hindi vocabulary. At B2 level, you should navigate complaints and rights:
Filing a complaint:
- शिकायत दर्ज करना (shikaayat darj karnaa) — to file a complaint
- उपभोक्ता फोरम (upbhoktaa forum) — consumer forum
- उपभोक्ता संरक्षण अधिनियम (upbhoktaa sanrakshan adhiniyam) — Consumer Protection Act
Expressing dissatisfaction:
- यह उत्पाद दोषपूर्ण है (yah utpaad doshpoorn hai) — "this product is defective"
- मुझे वापसी चाहिए (mujhe vaapsee chaahiye) — "I want a return/refund"
- यह विज्ञापन भ्रामक है (yah vigyaapan bhraamak hai) — "this advertisement is misleading"
Rights you can assert:
- सुरक्षा का अधिकार (surakshaa kaa adhikaar) — right to safety
- सूचना का अधिकार (soochnaa kaa adhikaar) — right to information
- चुनने का अधिकार (chunne kaa adhikaar) — right to choose
Example: उपभोक्ता को दोषपूर्ण उत्पाद की क्षतिपूर्ति माँगने का पूरा अधिकार है।
(upbhoktaa ko doshpoorn utpaad kee kshatipoorti maangne kaa pooraa adhikaar hai.)
