Erros frequentes
我们现在要投票了。现在进行表决。In formal meeting settings, use 表决 (biǎojué) instead of 投票 (tóupiào). 表决 is the correct term for formal organizational voting; 投票 is more casual or refers to elections
请李小姐说话。请李女士发言。In professional contexts, use 女士 (instead of 小姐) and 发言 (to take the floor) instead of 说话 (to speak). 发言 implies a formal turn to present a position
今天会议结束了。今天的会议到此结束。The full formal closing formula is 今天的会议到此结束. Using 结束了 sounds abrupt and informal — add 到此 for the proper declarative structure
