Erros frequentes

• ✗我的护照丢失被了。
  ✓我的护照丢失了。

  For losing something yourself, use the active 丢失了 — no need for 被 when you are the one who lost it.

• ✗我把我的钱包失去了。
  ✓我把钱包弄丢了。

  弄丢 (accidentally lost) is the natural verb for losing things carelessly. 失去 is for more abstract losses.

• ✗请叫一辆急救车。
  ✓请叫救护车。

  救护车 is the standard word for ambulance — 急救车 is understood but not the standard term.

• ✗我需要去大使馆联系。
  ✓我需要联系大使馆。

  联系大使馆 (contact the embassy) — the embassy is the object. Do not put it at the beginning as if you are going there.

• ✗我的行李不见掉了。
  ✓我的行李不见了。

  不见了 (disappeared/missing) is already complete — 掉 is redundant here.
