Adjectival participles (imiesłowy przymiotnikowe) enrich literary descriptions:
- piszący autor — the writing author (active, present)
- napisana powieść — the written novel (passive, completed)
- wzruszający wątek — a moving plotline
Aspect in narrative: Imperfective describes scenes; perfective marks plot events:
- Bohater szedł przez las, gdy nagle zobaczył światło. — The hero was walking through the forest when suddenly he saw a light.
Academic literary vocabulary:
- Autor posługuje się metaforą... — The author employs the metaphor of...
- Utwór nawiązuje do tradycji... — The work refers to the tradition of...
