Persuasive writing at C1 level requires strong assertion patterns that convey conviction backed by evidence.

～に違いない (ni chigai nai) means "must be" or "no doubt." It expresses strong certainty about a conclusion.

この結果はデータの不備に違いない。

This result must be due to data deficiencies.

～と言わざるを得ない (to iwazaru wo enai) means "one must say that" or "one cannot help but say." It presents a conclusion as unavoidable, adding rhetorical force.

この政策は失敗だったと言わざるを得ない。

One must say that this policy was a failure.

In persuasive writing, に違いない asserts strong conclusions while と言わざるを得ない presents reluctant but honest assessments. Both carry more weight than simple assertions. Combine them with 論証する (demonstrate), 裏付ける (substantiate), and 説得力 (persuasiveness) to build arguments that are both logically sound and rhetorically powerful.
