Erros frequentes

• ✗届出を出すなければなりません。
  ✓届出(とどけで)を出(だ)さなければなりません。

  The negative stem of 出す is 出さ (not 出す). To form 〜なければ, use the negative あ-stem: 出さ + なければ.

• ✗書類を持って来ることなくてもいいです。
  ✓書類(しょるい)を持(も)って来(こ)なくてもいいです。

  〜なくてもいい attaches directly to the negative て-form of the verb (来なくて), not via こと.

• ✗申請をすることはできます。
  ✓申請(しんせい)することができます。

  The pattern is 〜ことができる with が, not は. Using は changes it to a contrast meaning rather than simple ability.

• ✗窓口はどこ行けばいいですか。
  ✓どの窓口(まどぐち)に行(い)けばいいですか。

  Use どの (which) + counter に (to) for asking which specific counter. どこ asks about location, not selection.

• ✗マイナンバーがいらなくてもいいですか。
  ✓マイナンバーカードがなくてもいいですか。

  〜なくてもいい means not having something is okay. いらなくても is redundant since いらない already means not needed.
