Buying Clothes in Hindi
Demonstratives — this/that:
- यह (yah) — this (singular, near)
- वह (vah) — that (singular, far)
- ये (ye) — these (plural, near)
- वे (ve) — those (plural, far)
💬 "यह कमीज़ कितने की है?" (yah kamīz kitne kī hai?) → "How much is this shirt?"
💬 "वह पोशाक मुझे पसंद है।" → "I like that dress."
Asking about sizes:
💬 "क्या यह मेरे साइज़ में है?" (kyā yah mere sāiz meṅ hai?) → "Is this in my size?"
💬 "मुझे मीडियम साइज़ चाहिए।" → "I want medium size."
Trying things on:
💬 "क्या मैं इसे पहन कर देख सकती हूँ?" → "Can I try this on?" (female)
💬 "यह मुझ पर फिट नहीं होता।" → "This doesn't fit me."
Colors agreement:
Colors agree with gender:
- लाल (lāl) — red (no change for gender)
- नीला/नीली (nīlā/nīlī) — blue (masc./fem.)
- हरा/हरी (harā/harī) — green (masc./fem.)
