Asking for recommendations:
- Könnten Sie mir etwas gegen Kopfschmerzen empfehlen? (Could you recommend something for headaches?)
- Hätten Sie etwas gegen Husten? (Would you have something for a cough?)
Asking about usage:
- Wie oft soll ich die Tabletten nehmen? (How often should I take the pills?)
- Wie viele Tropfen soll ich nehmen? (How many drops should I take?)
- Darf ich das Medikament mit Alkohol nehmen? (May I take the medicine with alcohol?)
Useful pharmacy phrases:
- Ist dieses Medikament rezeptfrei? (Is this medicine over-the-counter?)
- Gibt es Nebenwirkungen? (Are there side effects?)
- Ich bin allergisch gegen... (I am allergic to...)
Key: Use gegen + Accusative to express "for/against" a symptom: etwas gegen Fieber (something for fever).
