Making Plans and Agreeing on a Meeting Place
In Korean, arranging a meeting involves time expressions and location markers.
- 약속 means appointment or plan: 내일 약속이 있어요 (I have plans tomorrow)
- -(으)ㄹ까요? proposes an action: 어디서 만날까요? (Where shall we meet?)
- 에서 marks where an action happens: 카페에서 만나요 (Let's meet at the café)
- 몇 시에 asks for the time: 몇 시에 만날까요? (What time shall we meet?)
- Use -고 싶다 to express what you want: 공원에서 만나고 싶어요 (I want to meet in the park)
- 괜찮아요? checks if someone agrees: 3시 괜찮아요? (Is 3 o'clock okay?)
- 늦을 것 같아요 warns you might be late (I think I'll be late)
- Direction words: 앞 (front), 뒤 (behind), 옆 (beside) help specify exact spots
