Asking About Prices in Korean
Korean uses Sino-Korean numbers for prices and money.
Asking the price:
- 이거 얼마예요? → How much is this?
- 모두 얼마예요? → How much is it all together?
- 가격이 얼마예요? → What is the price?
Korean Won (원) amounts:
- 천 원 (1,000₩), 오천 원 (5,000₩), 만 원 (10,000₩)
- 이만 원 (20,000₩), 십만 원 (100,000₩)
Expressing price opinion:
- 비싸요 → It is expensive
- 싸요 → It is cheap
- 조금 비싸요 → It is a little expensive
- 좀 깎아 주세요 → Please lower the price a bit
Paying:
- 현금으로 낼게요 → I will pay cash
