Expressing interest and future goals

Two key structures help you talk about your interests and learning objectives.

essere interessato/a a + infinitive — to be interested in... The adjective agrees: interessato (masculine) / interessata (feminine).

mi interessa + infinitive — I am interested in... / it interests me to... This construction is impersonal and does not change with gender.

Examples:

Sono interessata a migliorare le mie competenze digitali. — I am interested in improving my digital skills.
Mi interessa seguire un corso di formazione online. — I am interested in taking an online training course.
Il mio obiettivo è ottenere un certificato entro l''anno. — My goal is to get a certificate by the end of the year.
Voglio aggiornarmi nel settore informatico. — I want to update my skills in IT.

Expressing future goals: Common structures are voglio + infinitive (I want to...), ho intenzione di + infinitive (I intend to...) or il mio obiettivo è + infinitive.
