To give DIY instructions, you use the imperative with sequential markers:
- Primero, cierra la llave del agua. (First, turn off the water tap.)
- Luego, retira la pieza rota. (Then, remove the broken part.)
- Después, coloca la pieza nueva. (Next, place the new part.)
- Asegúrate de apretar bien los tornillos. (Make sure to tighten the screws.)
- Finalmente, abre el agua y comprueba. (Finally, turn on the water and check.)
Primero, marca el punto con un lápiz. Luego, taladra un agujero. Después, inserta el taco y atornilla.
Important sequence markers:
- Primero (First) → Luego/Después (Then) → Finalmente/Por último (Finally)
- Antes de... (Before...) → Después de... (After...)
- Asegúrate de... (Make sure to...)
