Conditional Sentences for Risk Planning
Use the imperfect subjunctive + conditional to discuss hypothetical scenarios:
- Se o orçamento fosse reduzido, teríamos de cortar recursos. — If the budget were reduced, we would have to cut resources.
- Se a equipa não cumprisse o prazo, o projeto atrasaria. — If the team did not meet the deadline, the project would be delayed.
Expressing Obligation and Necessity
- É necessário que a equipa conclua esta etapa. — The team must complete this stage.
- Convém rever o cronograma. — It is advisable to review the schedule.
- Há que gerir os riscos antecipadamente. — Risks must be managed in advance.
Reporting Progress
- O projeto está dentro do prazo. — The project is on schedule.
- Estamos atrasados em relação ao cronograma. — We are behind schedule.
