Remote Work: Describing Routines and Challenges
越来越 to describe evolving work patterns:
- 远程工作越来越普遍了。(yuǎnchéng gōngzuò yuè lái yuè pǔbiàn le) — Remote work is becoming more and more common.
虽然…但是… to weigh pros and cons:
- 虽然在家工作很方便，但是有时候很难专注。(suīrán zài jiā gōngzuò hěn fāngbiàn, dànshì yǒushíhou hěn nán zhuānzhù) — Although working from home is convenient, it's sometimes hard to focus.
只要…就… (zhǐyào…jiù) — as long as…:
- 只要有网络，我就可以在任何地方工作。(zhǐyào yǒu wǎngluò, wǒ jiù kěyǐ zài rènhé dìfāng gōngzuò) — As long as I have internet, I can work anywhere.
Key phrases for remote work:
- 我们下午两点开视频会议。(wǒmen xiàwǔ liǎng diǎn kāi shìpín huìyì) — We have a video conference at 2 PM.
- 我需要调整一下时差。(wǒ xūyào tiáozhěng yīxià shíchā) — I need to adjust to the time zone.

Типичные ошибки
我在家工作，所以我不需要去办公室每天。我在家工作，所以我每天不需要去办公室。Frequency adverbs like 每天 should precede the verb phrase they modify, not appear after the object. Place 每天 directly before 不需要去.
视频会议比打电话更方便得多。视频会议比打电话方便得多。In a comparative sentence with 比, do not add 更. The 得多 suffix already intensifies the comparison. 比…更 and 得多 are redundant together.
我觉得远程工作的优点大于缺点。我觉得远程工作的优点多于缺点。When comparing quantities or numbers of things, use 多于 (more than). 大于 compares size or magnitude, not count.
