Sending Messages
Messaging in China In China, 微信 (WeChat) is the most popular messaging app. 短信 (SMS) is also used but less common now.
Saying you sent or received a message
- 我发消息给你了。— I sent you a message.
- 我收到你的消息了。— I received your message.
- 你看到我的消息了吗？— Did you see my message?
Replying
- 我回复了。— I replied.
- 我还没回复。— I have not replied yet.
Voice messages WeChat voice messages are very common in China:
- 我发了一个语音给你。— I sent you a voice message.
Confirming receipt
- 收到！— Got it! (very common reply)
- 好的，我知道了。— Okay, I understand.

- 我发消息给你了。I sent you a message.
- 我收到你的消息了。I received your message.
- 你看到我的消息了吗？Did you see my message?
- 我回复了。I replied.
- 我还没回复。I have not replied yet.
- 收到！Got it!
- 好的，我知道了。Okay, I understand.

Типичные ошибки
我发了消息你我发消息给你了The recipient follows 给 — say 发消息给你, not 发消息你.
我回复你的消息了没有我还没回复你的消息Use 还没 + verb for not yet — 没有 at the end sounds unnatural here.
你有看到我的消息吗你看到我的消息了吗Do not insert 有 before a past verb — use 了 to mark completion.
我收了你的消息我收到你的消息了The correct verb is 收到 (receive and get), not just 收.
发一条语音给我发一个语音给我Voice messages use measure word 个, not 条 which is for text messages.
