Erros frequentes

• ✗моя брат
  ✓мой брат

  брат is masculine so the possessive must be мой not моя

• ✗Я имею брата.
  ✓У меня есть брат.

  Russian uses у меня есть not я имею to express possession

• ✗У меня нет сестра.
  ✓У меня нет сестры.

  After нет the noun goes into genitive case

• ✗мои мама
  ✓моя мама

  мама is singular feminine, use моя not мои

• ✗его мама (talking about a woman)
  ✓её мама

  его is his, её is her, don't confuse them
