Erros frequentes

  도와주세요 is the polite imperative. 도와줘요 exists but 도와주세요 is more urgent and appropriate in emergencies

  ✓사고가 났어요

  사고 (accident) is the subject so it needs the subject particle 가: 사고가 났어요

• ✗119 전화해요
  ✓119에 전화해 주세요

  Add 에 after the number to show direction of the call, and 주세요 to make a polite request

• ✗불이 있어요
  ✓불이 났어요

  For fires, accidents, and symptoms, use 나다 (to break out / occur), not 있다 (to exist)

• ✗경찰 불러 줘
  ✓경찰을 불러 주세요

  Use the polite -아/어 주세요 form, and add object particle 을 after 경찰
