Handling difficult or hostile questions in Hindi at C1 requires both linguistic precision and interpersonal composure. The advanced speaker must master three strategies: स्पष्टीकरण (seeking or providing clarification), पुनर्निर्धारण (reframing the question to one's advantage), and विनम्र अस्वीकृति (gracefully declining to answer when appropriate). Employing तत्सम vocabulary signals intellectual authority, while measured pace and धैर्यपूर्वक delivery convey confidence. Rhetorical devices such as प्रश्न को प्रश्न से उत्तर देना (answering a question with a question) can redirect hostile intent. Crucially, the speaker must maintain निष्पक्षता while still advocating their position, avoiding both aggression and excessive deference.
