Developing a personal style in German means forging a recognisable literary Stimme. Every author has a Markenzeichen — a stylistic trait that makes their writing unverwechselbar.

Authentizität is key: a personal style cannot be imitated, only cultivated. It emerges from konsistent choices in syntax, vocabulary, and tone. Thomas Mann favoured long, embedded sentences; Kafka preferred stripped-down, oppressive prose.

An eigenwillig style does not mean gratuitous eccentricity. It is a unique Perspektive on language that develops through practice. Writing is a Handwerk: the more you practise, the more originell and confident your voice becomes.

The essential thing is to sich entwickeln constantly while remaining true to yourself. Personal style is where technical mastery meets authentic expression of thought.
