Metadiscursive Markers
These guide the reader through the text structure:
- Framing: No que concerne (regarding), no âmbito de (within the scope of)
- Sequencing: Em primeiro lugar (firstly), seguidamente (next), por fim (finally)
- Reformulating: Isto é (that is), ou seja (in other words), por outras palavras (in other words)

Register Consistency
