Handling tough questions in Korean Q&A sessions requires composure and specific linguistic strategies.
Reformulation — reframe the question before answering: (I understood your question to mean ~, is that correct?)
Bridging — acknowledge then redirect: (That aspect is important, but the key point is ~.)
Deflection for unanswerable questions: (That is a very important question, but it falls outside today's scope. I will answer later.)
(Could you elaborate on the question a bit more?)
The key is maintaining formal register throughout — panic or informality damages credibility even if the content is correct.

Veelgemaakte fouten
나중에 정확히 답변드리겠습니다Saying 모르겠어요 bluntly damages credibility; a professional Korean response acknowledges the gap and commits to follow-up
질문이 틀렸어요 (saying the question is wrong)질문의 전제에 대해 다른 시각도 있습니다Telling someone their question is wrong is confrontational; reformulate the premise diplomatically instead
잠깐 정리해 보겠습니다어려워요 sounds unprepared; acknowledging the depth of the question while gaining composure is more effective
제 발표에 없었어요오늘 발표에서 직접 다루지 않았지만, 핵심은 ~입니다아, 그거요 is too casual and dismissive; even out-of-scope questions deserve a composed, bridging response
다음 분 질문 받겠습니다 (cutting off without answering)질문 감사합니다. Skipping a question entirely signals evasion; always provide at minimum a brief substantive response before moving on
