Body Parts
Naming body parts Chinese body part names are straightforward. Many end in 子 (zi):
- 鼻子, 肚子, 耳朵 (note: 耳朵 ends in 朵, not 子)
Saying something hurts Use body part + 疼:
- 我头疼。— My head hurts.
- 我肚子疼。— My stomach hurts.
- 我腿疼。— My leg hurts.
Describing pain with 很 Add 很 to say something hurts a lot:
- 我手很疼。— My hand hurts a lot.
Asking what hurts
- 哪里疼？— Where does it hurt?
- 你哪里不舒服？— Where do you feel unwell?

我的头是疼我头疼Do not use 是 with body pain — the pattern is body part + 疼.
我的肚子很疼很我肚子很疼很 comes before 疼, not after.
我脚子疼我脚疼脚 does not take the suffix 子 — it is just 脚.
哪里你疼你哪里疼Subject comes first, then the question word 哪里.
我眼睛疼很我眼睛很疼Degree adverbs like 很 come before the verb, not after.
