The compound future (futuro composto) Expresses what will have been completed: *Até 2030, teremos implementado novas metodologias.* (By 2030, we will have implemented new methodologies.) Formed with *ter* in the future + past participle.

Expressing opinions about the future *Acredito que a educação vai...* (I believe education will...), *É provável que as escolas venham a...* (It is likely that schools will...). Note: *é provável que* triggers the subjunctive.

Contrasting present and future *Atualmente... no entanto, no futuro...* (Currently... however, in the future...). *Se compararmos o ensino de hoje com o de amanhã...* (If we compare today's teaching with tomorrow's...).
