É preciso que + conjuntivo:
- *É preciso que tome este medicamento.* — You need to take this medicine.
- *É preciso que descanse.* — You need to rest.
Formation of conjuntivo presente (regular verbs):
- -ar verbs: eu tome, tu tomes, ele tome (from tomar)
- -er verbs: eu beba, tu bebas, ele beba (from beber)
- -ir verbs: eu durma, tu durmas, ele durma (from dormir)
At the pharmacy — useful phrases:
- *Tem alguma coisa para a dor de cabeça?* — Do you have something for a headache?
- *Este medicamento precisa de receita?* — Does this medicine need a prescription?
- *Qual é a posologia?* — What is the dosage?
