Irregular Past Tense Verbs

Some common Polish verbs have irregular past tense forms:

iść (to go): poszedłem / poszłam (I went)
jeść (to eat): jadłem / jadłam (I ate)
widzieć (to see): widziałem / widziałam (I saw)
mieć (to have): miałem / miałam (I had)
spać (to sleep): spałem / spałam (I slept)

Expressing enjoyment:

Świetnie się bawiłem! = I had a great time! (m.)
Było wspaniale! = It was wonderful!
Bardzo mi się podobało! = I really liked it!
