This lesson covers digital life vocabulary and expressing habits with frequency adverbs.

Talking about online habits: *Je passe beaucoup de temps sur les réseaux sociaux* (I spend a lot of time on social media). Use *passer du temps à + infinitif*: *Je passe du temps à regarder des vidéos* (I spend time watching videos).

Frequency adverbs: *toujours* (always), *souvent* (often), *parfois / quelquefois* (sometimes), *rarement* (rarely), *jamais* (never). They usually go after the conjugated verb: *Je vérifie souvent mes notifications* (I often check my notifications).

Ne… jamais: *Je ne publie jamais de photos personnelles* (I never post personal photos). Remember: *de* replaces *des* in negative sentences.

Expressing opinion about technology: *Je trouve que les réseaux sociaux sont…* (I find that social media is…), *Il me semble que…* (It seems to me that…).

Digital well-being vocabulary: *la dépendance* (addiction), *une détox numérique* (digital detox), *le temps d'écran* (screen time), *débrancher* (to unplug).

In negative sentences, des becomes de: jamais de photos.

Je passe beaucoup de temps sur les réseaux sociaux.
Use sur (on) with les réseaux sociaux, not à.
~~Je suis accro de mon téléphone.~~
Je suis accro à mon téléphone.
Accro takes the preposition à, not de.
~~Je vérifie mes notifications souvent.~~
Je vérifie souvent mes notifications.
Frequency adverbs usually go after the conjugated verb, before the object.
~~C'est devenu un habitude.~~
C'est devenu une habitude.
Habitude is feminine: une habitude, not un habitude. The h is silent but the gender is feminine.
