Key grammar points:
- -하여야 한다 — States formal obligations that sellers must fulfill.
- 판매자는 환불을 제공하여야 한다. (The seller must provide a refund.)
- -ㄴ/은 것이 틀림없다 — Expresses certainty when identifying defects or violations.
- 이것은 불량품인 것이 틀림없다. (This must be a defective product.)
- -(으)ㄹ 리가 없다 — "There is no way that..." Challenges false claims.
- 이 제품이 정품일 리가 없다. (There is no way this product is genuine.)
- -았/었어야 했다 — "Should have..." Expresses what should have been done to protect consumer rights.
- 판매자는 결함을 미리 고지했어야 했다. (The seller should have disclosed the defect in advance.)
Practical tip: When filing a complaint in Korea, use formal -하여야 한다 structures in writing, and -았/었어야 했다 to highlight what the seller failed to do.

판매자는 결함을 미리 고지했어야 했어.판매자는 결함을 미리 고지했어야 했습니다.A formal complaint needs 합니다체. 했어 is casual 반말 and clashes with the formal tone.
약관이 변경해서 새 조건이 적용되었습니다.약관이 변경되어서 새 조건이 적용되었습니다.The terms get changed (passive), so use 변경되다. 변경하다 means someone actively changes them.
정품이라면 이런 결함이 있을 리가 없다요.정품이라면 이런 결함이 있을 리가 없습니다.You can't tack 요 onto the plain form 없다. Say 없습니다 (formal) or 없어요 (polite).
