Adjectives agree with gender in Hindi:

Most adjectives that end in आ (ā) change their ending based on gender:

💬 "मेरा भाई लंबा है।" (merā bhāī lambā hai.) → "My brother is tall."
💬 "मेरी बहन लंबी है।" (merī bahan lambī hai.) → "My sister is tall."

Adjectives that DON'T change: (ending in a consonant or other vowel)

Describing hair and eyes:

💬 "उसके काले बाल हैं।" (uske kāle bāl haiṅ.) → "He/She has black hair."
💬 "उसकी भूरी आँखें हैं।" (uskī bhūrī āṅkheṅ haiṅ.) → "He/She has brown eyes."

Common descriptive adjectives:

~~मेरी भाई लंबा है~~
मेरा भाई लंबा है
भाई (brother) is masculine — use मेरा not मेरी
~~वह लंबा है (for a woman)~~
वह लंबी है
For feminine subjects use feminine adjective लंबी, not masculine लंबा
~~उसके भूरी आँखें हैं~~
उसकी भूरी आँखें हैं
आँखें (eyes) is feminine plural — use उसकी not उसके
