讲一件过去的事，比如一条新闻，西班牙语靠两个过去时轮流上场：
- 未完成过去时（imperfecto）：交代背景，当时正在发生什么 → estaba, caminaban, llovía
- 简单过去时（indefinido）：说突然发生的那一下 → ocurrió, llegó, chocó
"Estaba caminando por la calle cuando ocurrió el accidente." → "我正走在街上，这时事故发生了。"
"Los bomberos estaban trabajando mientras la policía investigaba." → "消防员在现场处置，同时警方在调查。"
两个信号词：
- cuando（当……的时候）—— 打断：imperfecto + cuando + indefinido
- mientras（在……期间）—— 两件事同时铺开：imperfecto + mientras + imperfecto
"Mientras dormían, un terremoto sacudió la ciudad." → "他们睡着的时候，一场地震摇动了这座城市。"
中文里这个区别是靠"正在""当时"和"了"来暗示的，说不说都行；西班牙语没有这个自由，动词必须二选一。选错了句子不会不通，但意思会变：el accidente ocurría 听起来像那场事故当年反复发生。所以动笔前先问自己：这一句是背景，还是那突然的一下。
