In a crisis, Korean communication must be clear, authoritative, and calm. The register must signal urgency without causing panic.

Key patterns:

즉각적인 조치가 필요합니다 — "Immediate action is required" — direct urgency.
상황을 면밀히 파악 중입니다 — "We are closely monitoring the situation" — reassurance without overclaiming.
사태를 수습하기 위해 최선을 다하고 있습니다 — "We are doing our utmost to resolve the situation."
확대되지 않도록 예방 조치를 취하겠습니다 — "We will take preventive measures to prevent escalation."

완화 vs 확대:

완화하다 (mitigate/de-escalate): used when reassuring that the situation is under control.
확대되다 (escalate): used to warn stakeholders of worsening or to describe what must be prevented.

Tone tip: Avoid minimising language like 별거 아니에요 (it is nothing). Instead use 면밀히 검토하고 있습니다 (we are carefully reviewing) to maintain credibility.

Using 몰라요 in a crisis statement conveys uncertainty and undermines confidence; use a commitment form instead.
