Comparing and Giving Opinions
To compare two things in Japanese, use A より B のほうが (B is more... than A). For example: アクションより コメディのほうが面白い (Comedy is more interesting than action). Notice the order is reversed from English.
To express your opinion, add と思います (to omoimasu) meaning "I think." Example: この映画は面白いと思います (I think this movie is interesting). For negative opinions: つまらないと思います (I think it's boring).
When asking someone's opinion, say どう思いますか (What do you think?). You can also use どちらのほうが好きですか (Which do you prefer?) to ask for a comparison. To agree, say 私もそう思います (I think so too). These patterns let you discuss movies, restaurants, and more with friends.
