  • 识别它们的变化形式(not one's cup of tea → not my cup of tea)
Dublin

表达

  • Not my cup of tea
  • Beat around the bush
  • Hit the nail on the head
  • Burn bridges
  • The ball is in your court
  • Get out of hand
  • Pull someone s leg
  • Bite off more than you can chew

  • She was feeling under the climate.
She was feeling under the weather.

固定表达是 under the weather,不是 under the climate。

  • He broke the ice of the meeting.
He broke the ice at the meeting.

    Break the ice

  • That film was not my cup of tea. I loved it.
That film was not my cup of tea. I hated it.

Not my cup of tea 表示不喜欢某物,与 I loved it 相矛盾,说明理解有误。

  • She really cut the corners on that project.
She really cut corners on that project.
