条件句倒装：Were it not for...
中文写作也会使用正式假设；英语可不用 if，以倒装表达条件。
- Were + 主语：Were it not for human rights, tyranny would go unchecked.
- Had + 主语：Had we known the consequences, we would have acted differently.
- Should + 主语：Should a conflict arise, the committee will intervene.
这类结构适合英语学术与法律语境。讨论伦理时可说：Were autonomy absolute, consent would never be questioned. 口语中通常使用普通 if 条件句。
表达
- Were it not for...以倒装表达非真实条件
- From a utilitarian standpoint...引入功利主义立场
- That violates the principle of...指出违反原则
- Should a conflict arise...正式条件倒装

常见错误
Were it not for human rights, tyranny will go uncheckedWere it not for human rights, tyranny would go unchecked非真实条件倒装的主句用 would，不用 will。
Had we knew the truthHad we known the truth倒装中的 had 后接过去分词，而不是过去式。
If would a conflict ariseShould a conflict ariseShould 倒装不用 if would；结构是 should + 主语 + 动词原形。
Killing is always wrong no matter what.From a deontological perspective, killing violates moral duty regardless of consequences.绝对断言缺少伦理框架；高级表达应说明立场。
