在学术英语中捍卫论点
在 C1 阶段，捍卫论点不只是提出立场；还要用证据支撑、预先回应异议，并以严谨方式作答。本节用中文讲解英语论证。
有力论证的结构： 1. Claim（主张）：你清楚、明确的立场 2. Evidence（证据）：数据、引文和事实 3. Warrant（论证依据）：证据与主张之间的逻辑联系 4. Concession + Rebuttal（让步与反驳）：承认局限，再说明为何立场仍成立
学术 hedging： 对主张加以限定，反而会提高可信度。
- This suggests that...（而非 This proves that...）
- It could be argued that...
- The evidence points towards...
整合反驳论点： 不要忽略它们；预先处理异议能表明你掌握了主题。
表达
- I would argue that...以带修辞缓和的方式引入论点
- The evidence points towards...呈现证据但不夸大其效力
- I acknowledge X, but contend that Y作出让步后再捍卫自己的立场
- The objection doesn't undermine my claim承认批评的一部分但反驳其结论
- It could be argued that... ; however...引入并立即限定一个立场
- This holds true even when we consider...尽管预见到异议仍坚持立场
- The crux of the matter is...指出辩论的核心所在
- I take issue with the premise that...质疑对方论证的根本前提
常见错误
My thesis proves that remote work is always better.My thesis suggests that remote work tends to increase productivity in knowledge-intensive sectors.在学术语境中 proves 和 always 过于绝对；应使用 suggests、tends to 或 in certain contexts。
I agree with the criticism but my point is still right.While I concede the merit of this objection, I maintain that the core argument holds because...这种口语表达不适合答辩；应使用正式的让步—反驳结构。
Lots of evidence shows this is true.A substantial body of evidence supports the claim that...Lots of 属于口语语域；应使用 a substantial body of、a growing body of 或 considerable evidence。
This proves my hypothesis is correct.This finding is consistent with / lends support to the hypothesis that...科学中 prove 语气过强；更适合用 support、corroborate 或 be consistent with。
The evidence undeniably proves my thesis beyond question.The evidence strongly supports my thesis.学术论证中把证据称为“无可置疑”会终结讨论；宜用 strongly supports 等带限定的表达。
While critics may disagree, but my argument stands.While critics may disagree, my argument stands.While 和 but 都是让步连接词，同时使用在语法上重复。
