它们用于分析不确定情况或得出合乎逻辑的结论，在讨论未来教育时很常见。

Must be — 对现在的确定推断：This approach must be effective — the results are remarkable.
Can't have — 对过去的否定性确定推断：The curriculum can't have prepared students for the digital world — the skills gap is enormous.
Might have been — 对过去的可能性：Remote learning might have been implemented sooner had the infrastructure existed.
Should have — 表示遗憾或批评：We should have reformed the curriculum a decade ago.

The current system fails to develop... — 当前制度未能培养……
Lifelong learning has become essential in a world where... — 在一个……的世界里，终身学习已变得不可或缺
There is a strong case for... — 有充分理由支持……
Critics of hybrid learning argue that... — 混合式学习的批评者认为……

对过去作否定推断时，用 can't have + 过去分词。
~~We should shifted to digital learning earlier.~~
We should have shifted to digital learning earlier.
Should have + 过去分词表示遗憾；只用 should 不够。
~~Students must learn critical thinking since school.~~
Students must learn critical thinking from an early age / since primary school.
Since 表示从过去持续到现在，通常与现在完成时连用。此处可说 from an early age；若强调起点，可改用 should learn ... since primary school。

The teacher was very innovative in his teaching.
Teaching 单数指教学实践；teachings 复数指教义或所学内容，不指教学方法。
