英语虚拟语气
与法语不同，英语虚拟语气不太显眼，但在特定的正式或政治表达中确实存在。
- It is essential that every citizen be heard.（虚拟语气：用不带 -s 的动词原形）
- It is vital that the government act swiftly.（不用 acts）
- I suggest that she stand for election.（不用 stands）
- The committee proposed that the bill be revised.
这种虚拟语气常见于英语的正式、法律和政治文本。较日常的表达中，也可使用 should + 动词原形：It is essential that the government should act.

常见错误
It is essential that every citizen votes.It is essential that every citizen vote.在 It is essential/vital/crucial that 之后，动词用虚拟语气，即第三人称也用不带 -s 的原形。
The government must to ensure transparency.The government must ensure transparency.Must 是情态动词，后面接不带 to 的动词原形。
Democracy requires citizens to hold accountable their representatives.Democracy requires citizens to hold their representatives accountable.正确语序是 hold + 宾语 + accountable，形容词放在宾语之后。
The election was won by the candidate with more votes.The election was won by the candidate with the most votes.在所有候选人之间比较时，用最高级 the most，不用比较级 more。
Disinformations are spreading rapidly on social media.Disinformation is spreading rapidly on social media.Disinformation 是英语中的不可数名词，不能用复数。
Every citizens should vote.Every citizen should vote.Every 后接单数名词，不能接复数名词。
