用祈使句说明步骤
讲一件东西怎么修，靠的是祈使句加上表示顺序的连接词。
祈使句
英语的祈使句很简单：动词打头，不要主语。
"Turn off the electricity before you start." → "开工之前先断电。"
"Tighten the screw with a screwdriver." → "用螺丝刀把螺丝拧紧。"
"Don't touch the wires!" → "别碰那些电线！"
表示顺序的连接词
- First, turn off the water supply.
- Then, remove the old tap.
- Next, attach the new tap.
- After that, turn the water back on.
- Finally, check for leaks.
"Make sure you..."
强调一个安全上的要点：
"Make sure you wear safety goggles." → "一定要戴护目镜。"
"Make sure the ladder is stable before climbing." → "上梯子之前先确认它稳不稳。"
其他有用的结构
- Be careful not to... → 小心别……
- Remember to... → 别忘了……
- Avoid... + -ing → 避免……
表达
- First... Then... Finally...按顺序说明步骤
- Make sure you...强调一个要紧的点
- Be careful not to...提醒可能的危险
- You'll need a...说明需要什么工具
- Let me show you how to...提出示范给对方看
- To fix something up我把那个旧书架翻新了。
- To do it yourself我决定自己动手做。
- To fall apart那件家具开始散架了。
常见错误
First you must to turn off the waterFirst, turn off the water祈使句直接用动词开头，不加 must to。
Make sure to you wear gogglesMake sure you wear gogglesMake sure you 后面直接跟动词，不写成 to you。
Be careful to not damage the pipeBe careful not to damage the pipe正确的语序是 not to + 动词原形。
After, clean the areaAfter that, clean the area句首要说 after that，不能只用一个 after。
I need to repair the robinetI need to fix the tap水龙头的英语是 tap，句子里不要夹别的语言。
The shelf is brokeThe shelf is brokenbreak 的过去分词是 broken，broke 是过去式。
