  When using inversion to drop als, the verb comes first followed by the subject.

  ✓Mocht u vragen hebben, neem dan contact op.

  After mocht, use the infinitive hebben at the end, and include dan in the main clause.

• ✗Had hij eerder gebeld, het probleem was opgelost.
  ✓Had hij eerder gebeld, dan was het probleem opgelost.

  The main clause needs dan and proper word order after inversion.

• ✗Ware het niet de steun, we hadden gefaald.
  ✓Ware het niet voor de steun, dan hadden we gefaald.

  Use voor after niet, and add dan with inverted word order in the main clause.

• ✗Mocht het budget toelaat, we investeren.
  ✓Mocht het budget het toelaten, dan investeren we.

  After mocht, the verb goes to the end in infinitive form; the main clause uses dan + inversion.
