Participles as adjectives in Spanish
Participles serve as adjectives to describe emotions caused by music. The -nte/-do distinction is crucial.
- -nte (cause of emotion): describes what provokes the feeling
La melodía es conmovedora. — The melody is moving.
El ritmo es fascinante. — The rhythm is fascinating.
- -do/da (feeler of emotion): describes the one experiencing the feeling
Estoy conmovido por esta canción. — I am moved by this song.
Quedé fascinado por la armonía. — I was fascinated by the harmony.

Note: -nte forms use ser, -do forms use estar.
