To talk about travel plans, you use the future simple and ir a + infinitive:
- Futuro simple: firm plans, predictions → *Pararé si me canso.*
- Ir a + infinitivo: near intentions → *Vamos a visitar la costa.*
*Saldremos a las 6 de la mañana.* (We will leave at 6 in the morning.)
*Vamos a parar en una gasolinera.* (We are going to stop at a petrol station.)
When to use which?
- Ir a: immediate plans, decisions already made → *Vamos a tomar la autopista.*
- Futuro: more distant plans, conditions → *Si llueve, tomaremos la autovía.*
Navigation vocabulary:
- *Gira a la derecha/izquierda* (Turn right/left)
- *Sigue recto* (Go straight on)
- *Toma la salida...* (Take the exit...)
