Editorial language expresses institutional opinion and shapes public discourse.

Types of editorial genres in Polish:

Wstępniak (editorial): the newspaper's official voice, uses first-person plural *my* (we)
Komentarz (commentary): analysis from a named journalist, first person singular
Felieton (column): subjective, literary, personal tone — the most expressive genre

Key linguistic features:

Evaluative adjectives: *bezprecedensowy* (unprecedented), *kontrowersyjny* (controversial)
Hedging language: *zdaje się*, *jak się wydaje* (it seems, apparently)
Strong stance markers: *bezsprzecznie*, *niewątpliwie* (indisputably, undoubtedly)
Rhetorical questions: *Czy można to inaczej interpretować?* (Can this be interpreted otherwise?)

Opinion journalism in Poland distinguishes *publicystyka* (opinion writing) from *dziennikarstwo informacyjne* (news journalism).
