Describing Your Neighborhood in Korean
Use location words and comparatives to describe where you live.
- 우리 동네는 — In my neighborhood (은 = topic marker)
- -이/가 있어요 for what exists: 공원이 있어요 (There is a park)
- 걸어서 몇 분이에요? — How many minutes on foot?
- 가까이에 — nearby: 가까이에 편의점이 있어요 (There's a convenience store nearby)
- 조용하고 살기 좋아요 — It's quiet and nice to live in (-고 connects adjectives)
- 예전보다 더 복잡해졌어요 — It has become more crowded than before (비교 + 졌어요)
- 장점이 많아요 — There are many advantages (장점 = advantage)
- Use 그래서 to give reasons: 교통이 편해서 살기 좋아요
