Korean uses specific verbs for housework and patterns for expressing obligation.
- 청소해야 해요 — I have to clean (-아/어야 해요 = must/have to)
- 빨래를 했어요 — I did the laundry (object marker 를 on 빨래)
- 설거지를 하다 — to do the dishes (하다 verb compound)
- 집안일을 나눠서 해요 — We divide the housework (나눠서 = splitting up)
- 제가 요리할게요 — I'll do the cooking (-ㄹ게요 = I'll do it, commitment)
- 누가 청소해요? — Who cleans? (누가 = who, subject form)
- 아직 안 했어요 — I haven't done it yet (아직 안 + past = not yet)
- -고 나서 for sequence: 밥을 먹고 나서 설거지해요 (After eating, I do dishes)

- 오늘 청소해야 해요Saying you have to clean today

자주 하는 실수
청소를 해야 해요청소해야 해요청소하다 is one verb; split form 청소를 해야 is awkward — use 청소해야 해요
