Writing a Structured Essay in Hindi

At B2 level, you should be able to compose well-organized essays in Hindi. Here are the key structural elements:

प्रस्तावना (prastaavnaa) — the introduction sets up your topic and thesis
मुख्य भाग (mukhya bhaag) — the body contains your arguments and evidence
निष्कर्ष (nishkarsh) — the conclusion summarizes and restates your position

Connecting ideas:

Use इसके अतिरिक्त (iske atirikt) for "in addition to this"
Use इसलिए (isliye) for "therefore"
Use दूसरी ओर (doosri or) for "on the other hand"
Use संक्षेप में (sankshep mein) for "in summary"

Example: इसके अतिरिक्त, यह तर्क भी महत्वपूर्ण है।
(iske atirikt, yah tark bhi mahatvpoorn hai.)
"In addition, this argument is also important."

Formal register tips:

Prefer अतः (atah) over इसलिए (isliye) for a more formal tone
Use किन्तु (kintu) instead of लेकिन (lekin) for "but" in formal writing
Employ the passive voice: यह कहा जा सकता है (yah kahaa jaa saktaa hai) — "it can be said"

Passive constructions use है not हूँ when the subject is third person
