Making Plans and Suggestions in Hindi
Suggesting with चलो (let's):
- चलो फ़िल्म देखते हैं। — Let's watch a film.
- चलो बाहर खाना खाते हैं। — Let's eat out.
Asking for suggestions:
- क्या करें? — What should we do?
- आज शाम क्या करना है? — What do we need to do this evening?
Proposing with क्या...? (how about):
- क्या हम पार्क जाएँ? — How about we go to the park?
- क्या तुम कल मिल सकते हो? — Can you meet tomorrow?
Responding to suggestions:
- हाँ, अच्छा विचार है! — Yes, good idea!
- ठीक है / बिल्कुल! — Okay / Absolutely!
- माफ़ करो, मैं आज व्यस्त हूँ। — Sorry, I'm busy today.
- शायद अगली बार। — Maybe next time.
चलो literally means "let's go/come" but is used broadly to mean "let's [do something]" — it is one of the most useful casual Hindi expressions

चलो फ़िल्म देखें हैंचलो फ़िल्म देखते हैंThe चलो suggestion uses the habitual present form देखते हैं, not subjunctive with हैं
