When discussing pros and cons in German, you need connectors (Konnektoren) that link contrasting or supporting ideas.

Concessive connectors (expressing contrast):

obwohl + subordinate clause (verb at end): *Obwohl es teuer ist, kaufe ich es.* (Although it is expensive, I buy it.)
trotzdem + main clause (verb in position 2): *Es ist teuer. Trotzdem kaufe ich es.* (It is expensive. Nevertheless, I buy it.)

Causal and additive connectors:

deshalb / deswegen (therefore): *Es regnet, deshalb bleibe ich zu Hause.*
außerdem (moreover): *Es ist billig. Außerdem ist die Qualität gut.*
jedoch (however): *Das Essen war gut, jedoch war der Service schlecht.*

Key difference: After obwohl, the verb goes to the end (subordinate clause). After trotzdem, deshalb, jedoch, the verb stays in position 2 (main clause with inversion).
