Giving advice and warnings: Use *il faut + infinitif* for general advice: *Il faut utiliser un mot de passe fort* (You must use a strong password). Use *vous devez* for direct instructions: *Vous devez mettre à jour votre antivirus* (You must update your antivirus).
Ne… jamais for warnings: *Ne cliquez jamais sur un lien suspect* (Never click on a suspicious link), *Ne partagez jamais votre mot de passe* (Never share your password).
Describing threats: *Le phishing est une technique pour voler vos données* (Phishing is a technique to steal your data). Use *servir à + infinitif*: *Un pare-feu sert à protéger votre ordinateur* (A firewall is used to protect your computer).
Key safety tips in French:
