기술 윤리처럼 답이 하나가 아닌 주제에서는 결론보다 질문을 세우는 문장이 더 중요해요. 영어에는 그 역할만 맡는 틀이 있어요.
질문을 던지는 틀

- Facial recognition raises the question of whether privacy still exists. → "얼굴 인식은 사생활이 아직 남아 있느냐는 질문을 던져요."
- AI bias raises the question of whether algorithms can ever be fair. → "인공지능 편향은 알고리즘이 공정해질 수 있느냐는 질문을 던져요."

한 방향으로만 밀지 않고 반대편을 먼저 세워 주는 게 B2다운 전개예요.

- 조율: The question is whether the benefits outweigh the risks.
이 틀은 토론뿐 아니라 영어 시험의 에세이에도 그대로 쓰여요. 통째로 익혀 두면 논지가 저절로 잡혀요.

자주 하는 실수
It raises the question of if we are safe.It raises the question of whether we are safe.the question of 뒤에는 whether를 써요. 전치사 뒤에는 if가 오지 못해요.
The algorithm has many biases.The algorithm has a lot of bias. / The algorithm is biased.bias는 셀 수 없게도 셀 수 있게도 쓰이지만, 편향의 정도를 말할 때는 a lot of bias나 형용사 biased가 자연스러워요.
We need to regulate the technology more strong.We need to regulate technology more strongly.동사 regulate를 꾸미니 부사 more strongly를 써요. 일반적인 뜻의 technology에는 the를 붙이지 않아요.
