Grammar point: 先…再…然后… (sequence of steps)
Use 先 (xiān) + action 1, 再 (zài) + action 2, 然后 (rán hòu) + action 3 to describe ordered steps. This pattern is essential for explaining troubleshooting procedures.
- 先重启电脑，再检查网络，然后联系技术支持。
(xiān chóng qǐ diàn nǎo, zài jiǎn chá wǎng luò, rán hòu lián xì jì shù zhī chí) *First restart the computer, then check the network, then contact tech support.*
- 先清除缓存，再更新驱动程序。
(xiān qīng chú huǎn cún, zài gēng xīn qū dòng chéng xù) *First clear the cache, then update the driver.*
Note: 再 connects actions with a sense of "and then next", while 然后 is slightly more conclusive and often introduces the final step.

자주 하는 실수
我的电脑坏了，它不开机。我的电脑坏了，开不了机。Use a potential complement 开不了机 (can't start up) to express inability due to a problem. 它不开机 sounds like the computer deliberately refuses, not that it is broken.
请你帮我修好我的电脑。请帮我把电脑修好。Use the 把-construction when the verb has a result complement like 好 (fixed). 把 marks the object being acted upon and transformed.
我已经重启了电脑三次。我已经重启了三次电脑。When using a verb-object with a quantity complement, the number of times (三次) comes directly after the verb, before the object. 重启了三次电脑 is the correct word order.
