Describing your home: 在...里 and location words
Saying where things are: 在 + place + 里/上/下
- 电视在客厅里。(Diànshì zài kètīng lǐ.) — The TV is in the living room.
- 书在书架上。(Shū zài shūjià shàng.) — The book is on the bookshelf.
- 猫在沙发下面。(Māo zài shāfā xiàmiàn.) — The cat is under the sofa.

- 里 (lǐ) — inside
- 上 (shàng) — on top of / above
- 下 (xià) — below / under
- 旁边 (pángbiān) — next to / beside
Describing your home
- 我家有三个卧室。(Wǒ jiā yǒu sān gè wòshì.) — My home has three bedrooms.
- 客厅很大，厨房很小。(Kètīng hěn dà, chúfáng hěn xiǎo.) — The living room is large, the kitchen is small.
